MY 2019 RESET ROUTINE

Everything is out of control. The moment when you do the same thing again and over again and your motivation is getting lower. This is a sign that you need reset your routine and start it again for the new beginning. Getting your life together is not gonna be that easy. You need to dedicate your whole day for do your reset routine. There are some steps that I've done for my own style reset routine. I'll share to you guys right now. So, here they are. Just let's get into it.

#1 HYDRATE & DRINK WATER

You have to be gentle to yourself. Your body is your temple. You can't do anything without your body, right? Taking care of yourself especially your body is absolutely important. Take care of your health. Make sure to always stay hidrated by drinking water at least 8 glass (normal glass) a day every single day. If you've been done this first step, you'll be ready to do the next step. You need energy to do something, remember that.

#2 TAKE A STEP OUTSIDE & BREATH

You need to refresh your mind. Take a step outside your house, take a deep breath and enjoy the nature. Inhale the oxygen from nature (especially in the morning) will refresh your mind. It will helps you to think clearer and release your stress away. The goal is to make your mind ready for reset time.

#3 CLEAN & DECLUTTER

Clean up your space, your desk, your room or anywhere that need to be cleaned. Declutter everything that unimportant or unused stuff. Clean up your space will make you feel motivated. I recommend you to re-arrange your space so it's gonna looks like new. It will helps you to stay motivated.

#4 TAKE OUT A JOURNAL & START JOURNALING

For me, journaling lift up my mood so so much. Journaling can make me so much more motivated and got new ideas. Journaling is more about writing down your memories and write your reflection about life so far so you can learn from it and can re-read it someday. For the better self. You can write everything that you want to write on it. Decorating a journal is one of my favorite thing to do. Sometimes I got some ideas to decor my journal from Instagram. You also can write about affirmations or life lessons that you got on daily basis. Basically, you can write everything in your mind at the moment into your journal. It's always fun to write down and share story with my own self. Journaling is also can becomes your self-reflection best friend.

#5 ORGANIZED YOUR SCHEDULE

Maybe you feel so overwhelmed in your life right now, at this moment. Then you need to do something that make you feel refresh and feel like a new person. You need a reset. You have so many things to do and don't even know which you should done first in the very first place. So, this condition will makes you overwhelmed, right? It's time to re-arrange and organized with your schedule. Write down everything that you need to be done. After that, make a list from the most important things to do until the unimportant one. I mean, shortly, you can say it 'prioritized'. You should do the urgent task first, then the important one, the easy one and followed with another task. Organized your task will reduce your overwhelmed feeling. Maybe that feeling will absolutely gone.

#6 UPGRADE YOUR LIFESTYLE

One of the main reason why people do a reset routine is because they are feel bored for doing the same things every single day again and over again, on repeat. So, it's the right time for you to re-new or upgrade your lifestyle. Maybe it's hard to change a routine for some people, but it's okay to do it step by step little by little. At least you make a small differences on your lifestyle. It also categorized as upgrading your lifestyle already. Search and research for inspiration then find the best lifestyle that gonna fits the best with your personality. If you're not sure yet in the first place, it's absolutely an okay to try it first. Just be gentle and flexible for yourself. Just try it. As the result, you can see whether it gonna fits on you or not. If it's not, you can find another one. You can create your own lifestyle, believe in yourself. It's always fun and I feel amazed to try new things in life.

#7 FREE UP YOURSELF

After you do all the things above, it's time to relax and take a break for a while. Chill and relax with yourself, you deserve it. Give yourself a reward because you've done such a good job today. Say such a positive affirmation for yourself (it's a part of self love). You can do anything that you like. Maybe you can feel relax when do meditation, yoga or just drink tea while listening to your favorite music. You choose. Everyone has their own way to make themselves happy, right?


So, basically that's all for 7 steps or things that I do to for my reset routine. I recommend you to do it step by step. Don't be in a rush, take your time. I set this tips for myself, I tried it for myself and applied it for myself. This is the perfect way that fits my standard. It's okay not to stuck with this.
